Nantucket Culinary is pleased to present our Kids in the Kitchen Sous Chef Summer Program.
Meet Pastry Chef Amanda Baker, who is ready to create a true kitchen experience for kids 9 and up.
We've created a wonderful curriculum focusing on experiential learning in our beautiful kitchens, including role call, name badges, going over recipes, kitchen safety, and tour of the kitchen classroom.
This class is Tuesday, July 10 - Friday, July 13 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday: After-School snacks - a collection of easy afternoon snacks ranging from easy to difficult for all age ranges.
Wednesday: Shortbread baking - shape and bake vanilla shortbread, making classic royal icing and learning some fun new tricks.
Thursday: Pizza class - Learn how to make pizza dough, and make your own mini pizza.
Friday: Learn how to create three different meringues and take home dacquoise cookie drops. This is a very nut friendly class.
Limited to 10 students.
