“A Nourished Life:” Hands-on Cooking for Healthy Families



We are pleased to continue our "A Nourished Life" summer classes, a series of healthy classes focused on optimal health, eating well, and meals inspired by seasonal ingredients.

We welcome back Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Liz Weiss, to teach a family hands-on cooking class based on her work teaching children's cooking classes in and around Boston.

We're putting kids in charge of the kitchen today as they cook up a delicious and nutritious lunch with the help of their able-bodied adult companions! Liz Weiss will lead families through a 2-hour interactive, hands-on cooking adventure with a rainbow of colorful, flavorful, and nourishing recipes:


Roasted Radishes

Deviled Egg Bunnies

Corny Salmon Cakes with Avocado Sauce

Wild Rice and Kale Salad

Peach, Apple, and Berry Crisp with Walnut Oat Topping


Participants should wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back. Limited to 14 people.

About Liz:

Liz Weiss, MS, RDN, is a dietitian, cookbook author, and mother of two with a specialty in family nutrition. She is the voice behind the family food podcast and blog, Liz’s Healthy Table, and has written several cookbooks including No Whine with DinnerThe Moms’ Guide to Meal Makeovers, and the playful, new coloring ebook series, Color, Cook, Eat!

Liz has been working and cooking with kids for over a decade with the Lexington, MA-based program, Kids Cooking Green. Liz teaches food literacy, nutrition and the benefits of eating locally-grown food. She lives in Lexington, MA and spends much of her summers on Nantucket.
