A Matter of Taste: Post-Tree Lighting Festivities

Description

After the beloved tree lighting, head on over to Nantucket Culinary to continue the holiday magic with multiple hors d'oeuvre stations, two bars, and wonderful holiday vibes.

A Matter of Taste: A Post-Tree Lighting festival featuring fine art, delicious small bites and wine specialist Camille Broderick, host of NPR's Camille's Demi-Hour.

Gather with friends and family to experience the works of three Nantucket contemporary artists while enjoying wine provided by Vinolytics ( vinolytics.com ) and culinary delicacies crafted by local Nantucket chefs.

Christine Sanford is a year round resident artist living on Nantucket since 1979. For many years she was a fiber artist exhibiting her pieces at The Main Street Gallery, The Nantucket Looms and South Wharf Gallery. In 1999 she began painting, taking many classes at The Artists Association of Nantucket where she is a longtime artist member. Currently she is represented by Old Spouter Gallery on Nantucket and The Page Bond Gallery in Richmond, VA.

Sherre Wilson Liljegren has been exhibiting her work on Nantucket since 1987 with consecutive solo shows at The Main Street Gallery, the (X) Gallery, South Wharf Gallery, Old Spouter Gallery, Graficas, and currently, the Hostetler Gallery. She has had solo exhibitions in New York at the David Findlay Galleries and in Boston at the Chase Gallery. Selected group exhibitions include The National Weather Center Biennale, Vyner Street Gallery, London, Arts in Embassies, Washington DC. She was awarded two residency fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center. Wilson Liljegren served on the board of directors at the Artists Association of Nantucket from 2008 to 2016.

Anne Troutman explores the photographic print as landscape and topography by physically re-assembling, layering and shaping fragments of photographs. Her photo-reliefs, photo-installations, videos and artist books have been exhibited in New York, California and Nantucket and her literary essays published internationally. Founding Director of the Women in the Arts Program in Santa Monica, CA, Anne practiced architecture for over 25 years, taught both art and architecture at UCLA, SCI-Arc & SMC. Anne grew up in NYC and has been based on Nantucket since 2013.
